Welcome to North City
Cooperative Preschool

For over 50 years, NCCP has been nurturing toddlers and preschoolers, offering child centered programs tailored to the learning needs of very young children.

NCCP is a strong and vibrant community. Many families build supportive friendships that last for a lifetime.

Now Registering for the 2011-2012 school year!

Class curriculum focuses on discovery and exploration of art, music, science, and physical education while respecting the growth of each child.

Children explore three theme rooms, and a play yard. They help care for our guinea pigs and turtle, enjoy an exercise room with slides and climbers, and ride bikes outside.

Parents enjoy parent education discussion groups and are exposed to a variety of parenting techniques and choices.

NCCP is concerned about your child's environment!

We work hard to make sure your children have a safe and healthy environment in which to learn. We are one of just ten child care facilities in the Seattle-Shoreline area to be nationally certified as an Eco-Healthy Child Care Facility www.cehn.org/. We obtained this voluntary two-year certification in December 2011 based on compliance with guidelines from the Children's Environmental Health Network. Our certification reflects our attention to maintaining good air quality, keeping toxic chemicals and supplies out of the classroom, and keeping an active recycling program.

Children have an innate affinity for the natural world. We encourage our students to be Eco-Healthy by setting an example of environmental responsibility in the classroom.
